As much as possible the community at Uma strive to be involved within the local communities of Carlisle and North Cumbria.
We are currently involved in Chaplaincy work in the area with several members of the community having completed their Chaplaincy Induction Courses.
We run School Visits both at the centre and in the local schools.
We attend local community forums and meetings and are happy to give talks to local groups in the area.
At present we have a small shop selling Tharpa books, cards and other items. We hope in the not to far future to be able to offer a wider selection in our shop.
We do not currently have a World Peace Cafe, however, watch this space for future developments.
